Now Ole Blue did this once before but there was no notice and since things got a little haywire here on blogger I am deciding to make my glossary of terms I use in here so there is no confusion as to what I am saying.
Blue- or Ole Blue that's me I am a democrat in a blue state with blue tendencies and i have NO shame in that
Red- That is either a friend or relative who like Blue has the same feelings but sees things as clear as I do from the republican side.
Purple- The hardest to tell one that has red tendencies but Surprises me with a leaning toward Obama

Koch suckers- Politicians and apologists for the Koch Brothers

BHO- Barack Hussein Obama- stated with the same reverence as FDR or JFK....if particularly overjoyed with him I call him PBHO

Rock a bye yadayadayada
So I thought that after April 24th the bullshit would cease. Curse ole Blue for being optimistic. I thought that when BHO went to shut up the 3 years of lies (started by his current sec'y of state) and finally show the good ole boys his birth certificate, people would shut the hell up and focus on the big picture and not just pay no attention to the man behind the curtain but completely tell him STFU. Perhaps putting the combover in his place and telling Bat Boy's Spawn how easy it is to perpetuate a lie maybe some of our more lucid republicans (i know, an oxymoron but do bare with me) would do what their elected to do and that's govern. Not be seditious turds. Not to keep stirring shit that has long turned white.
So of course, I read the news in papers and on the net and in school and at work. So imagine when I think that things are going okay (still not great but to hell with it I accept some things) and I read this;

it states how BHO could have stopped the birthers LOOOOOOOOOOOONG ago if he merely gave into the reich wingers and "just showed us the papers, boy". Why? I have stated over and over I am merely a short order cook, at a name restaurant and I am only the leader of the burger grill. I still needed a drivers license and a social security card and whatever things that the managers do to verify I surely am who I claim I am and I have every right to work in the United States of America. IF you still vaguely rampant birthers have any sense wouldn't you think the president of these same United States still has these responsibilities added with the more stringent Constitutional rules? I forget, when the Koch Suckers say jump, you don't question that, most of you morans just ask how high. So Mr. Gunn, I spread a salacious lie about you. I know it to be false. When does it become your responsibility to alleviate me of the lie? Frankly, it appears in your blind hatred of anything BHO, you, like other Reich wingers, wish to fall into the 'Blame Obama' camp. Journalism is supposed to be fair and balanced sir. I am no journalist, I can be biased; I write a left wing blog. You are supposed to report facts. This fact is that the wingnuts went crazy with a lie and you are choosing to feed into that. If our duly elected president decides to let the others sway in the wind and show these idiots "his papers" at his own time, though I disagreed, he did it to make the Reich wing look like the seditious fools they have been the last 30 years. GOOD FOR HIM! Where is the apologies from the Reich wing for spreading the lie? Make no mistake Mr. Gunn and other Reich wingers, you make no demands of the POTUS. This one is a man far smarter than you or I and he did what he did for his reasons. Keep being desperate. As the Reich continues to overreach, they weaken their policies and beliefs and this lefty will continue to smile as your own marches you, like Sherman, to the sea.

When you're hot, you're hot...
Jerry Reed one of the great country guitarists/clowns in Nashville history brought this little phrase to our attention in the 1970's. Our politicians surely do know when to strike when the fire is at it's hottest. Unfortunately though particularly at the State level, these same politicos also famously overplay that hand. It has not been so evident as it has been in this year of reversal of fortunes.
I already documented that it appeared to even some of his more staunch proponents that perhaps BHO was reeling. Nothing was going right and in 2010 he lost the house, he lost about 30 states, he was losing the birther argument. OMG, IS BHO a Kenyan? Did we tie our line to the rowboat as opposed to the ski boat? After all I can't water ski unless you can row like the little kid in the Incredibles.
So do the GOP governors understand that their day in the sun is in reality setting? NO! Walker in Wisconsin believes in that mandate he is after a Koch sucker. Snyder places EFM's (or as Colbert calls them eff 'ems for short) in the Detroit Public Schools and in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Kasich runs rough shod over Ohio, Christie epitomizes the 'let them eat cake' morality of the reich wing.
Then April 20th on has occurred. I have to believe there is visible sweating out of GOP camp. In the televised debate on Nazi Propaganda network...sorry Fox, the only name republican to show up is Ron Paul. Now folks Paul talks a great talk, (as i roll my eyes now must wash myself for saying anything positive about that jerkwad) but when push comes to shove, a "libertarian" is essentially a person that is ashamed to admit they voted twice for George Bush in today's vernacular. When they trot out Cain, Pawlenty, and can't even get their big hitters in Romney, Hucksterabee, Jindal, (though I question now how big he is) Palin or even Gingrich, this tells you that they know that they can't win.
When you're hot, you're hot Mr. President, and we need that strength to aid YOU and us in 2012. PUSH for the supermajority. Let the people know that the GOP is not having their better interests at heart. I know you have a plan to get us out of the Middle East get that implemented. and keep pushing forward with your goals to get us out of the ditch that Cheney, Bush and their cronies drove us into. You are riding 60% popularity and have done a masterful job under one of the worst economic times in most of our lifetimes. I know that I will be called fan boy, Don't care. I am fully in Barack Obama's corner and whatever this means come 2012, A blues clue supports the re-election of President Barack Obama THANK YOU...(and like a 'pimp' I did drop the mike!)

WWAAD? (What Would An American Do?)
I still hear the reich wing preach the gospel of "real Americans" and perhaps in 1855 these folks were "real Americans". They could wear their hatred for all to see. The could subjugate the meek and overpower the downtrodden. They could pass judgement on their fellow human being for merely having been born with a darker pigmentation, they could stand up in all their hypocritical might and justify slavery and hatred and watch as they were killing or being killed by their own brethren.
A "real American" votes for God, guns and guts, though they are not expressly mentioned in the Constitution beyond the keeping of a ready militia. I understand, Red, guns are an extension of your favorite tool as is that behemoth automobile you drive, and I don't necessarily want to take your gun from you, alive or "out of your cold, dead hands". But wouldn't you admit that the person who knows HOW to use the gun would be more advantageous than someone just shooting for shits and giggles? I know you claim to believe in smaller government and berate our current president for expanding the government but you know who raised taxes 6 of his eight years as president? Your own St. Ronald of Eureka. Do you know who created new taxes after the vow of no new taxes? Poppy Bush. Do you know who stuck government in the very personal process of dying your favorite apology target George W. Bush. So we really know it's not about smaller government either?
Perhaps a "real American" wants what Sarah Palin offers...nah not even you guys are into that bill of goods anymore....perhaps this says that there is hope...then I see a new T-shirt that says "I Won't Re NIG...2012"
ahhhh so a "real American" is a racist full of fear?...ah is that why Barack Obama is a "Witch Doctor"...a "terrorist sympathizer" (but wait, he got Osama where Bush failed...is your mind melting yet?) or something that passes for wit in your little sedition play called the tea party..."The Washington Zoo has an African Lion and the White House has a Lyin' African"...

I know I'm just another lefty that's "playing the race card" ooooooh shame on me, but when you're playing poker and you're making the game about race...you think you had the "Trump" but BHO exposed him to be the joker. So if this is your "real Americans" bit fuck you very much, I will stick with being a Real American in that I believe that MY country can live up to it's promises of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution without any help from your fucked up interpretation.

Iceberg, dead ahead
Well, now we are noticing that the wages of bad politicking, ad hominem attacks, blatant lies boomeranging on the very people that perfected these tactics. by utilizations of lies and turning a strength into a weakness; by banking on the lefts permanent skirmishes with each other, the GOP struck and attacked in a vacuum and proceeded to put this country in disarray under the cloak of God guns and guts. Sinclair Lewis said in 1935 "When fascism comes to the U.S. it will be wrapped in a flag, carrying a cross".
well lo and behold Roland Martin of CNN stood watch over this Titanic coverage of politics and finally issued a bell weather of sorts. http://www.politicususa.com/en/msm-donald-trump where he apologizes for the overblown coverage of the combover. Now, he stops short of caribou Barbie, Bat boy's spawn and the weeper of the house. (after all CNN is in the ratings business) however, a start nonetheless.
As ole Blue is a short order cook and a wanna be US historian/pundit/teacher and not a theological expert, I am reminded of a paraphrased passage in The Bible. Ye shall reap, as ye shall sow. Democrats and republicans for years have disagreed and the populace have had their beefs. Since 1980 the GOP has come out with hateful intentions and with Lee Atwater and his logical extension Karl Rove buried anything that the left have stood for as wrong for America. Of course all it has done is what it was predicted to do in 1980 and that's bankrupt the middle class, make the poor poorer and the richer by extension, richer. The Koch Birthers...uh Brothers believe that their money will protect them from their historical judgment. It will not 'gentlemen'. The Bushes believe that their prestige will not be soiled by the 'stupid' underlings they ran roughshod over...you too are mistaken. When the American people awaken from a decades long slumber, they will realize this was not the US of A that their parents left them. A revolution won't happen as most of us even at a down time are to comfortable but there will be another form of rebellion reich wing...as you look and realize that you on the right have no solid plan to create jobs, to lessen the burdens of Americans with less means than you oil pals, when the Joe Bartons have exhausted all their demands for apologies to BP...you are going to be left with your sizable pension and nothing more. Not peace, not character, not humanity and I question if you have a soul. Money won't save your soul..but you had momentary power. So as Captain Smith (ie the weeper) stands tall as your Titanic plunges to the depths of the polls, I truly hope that it was worth it...I don't have to look at you in the mirror.

Which Way Are You Going?
it's time. I blogged this week about taking accountability, about chicken hawks, about lies. Not exaggerations, not mere stretching of the truth pure unmitigated LIES. My blog is short today, it is merely a few lines.
I know I and I suspect most of us on the left, would be momentarily snarky or course, but if the previous regime had captured bin Laden and had the week that BHO did, we would be happy the focus of the 9/11 attacks was dead and the week was a good one for the country. It doesn't mean we would vote for him or agree with the policies but as Americans we would be excited for the turn of the nation. We grudgingly gave Bush credit for Hussein, although it was misguided, we rid the world of a despot.
I am an American. Most people I know are. I ask the Reich wing point blank, Is it more important that you're an American, or is it more important that you're republican and you hate Obama? If the answer is part one shut up and acknowledge our duly elected president made the right call, and if not, then look at yourself in the mirror and wonder where you lost your way

it's kinda funny from this end of it...
Amazingly I remember watching the last few democrats trotted out for the presidential election and watching them flail as there were ad hominem attacks, or attacks at seeming strengths, or attacks at the core of what this candidate was about. Reagan would blithely say "Morning in America" and the electorate ate that up like it were pablum...ah the reich wing would surely love for those days to return. The "others" knew their place, the poor would complain but hey...they're only the poor right?
We would collectively shake our heads here on the left at Dukakis looking so woeful in the tank, Mondale, bless his heart, trying to win an election against our senile grampa by using the terms like "Taxes will have to be raised", Gore being misquoted about inventing the internet, and in the day and age of 'support our troops' John Kerry being swift boated by chicken hawks. Heck even, Bill Clinton who won election twice gave us cringe worthy moments. For a Rhodes Scholar he sure let the little head rule the bigger one didn't he.
As it was appearing that perhaps the democrats were about to become the permanent court jester or pretty much, the loyal opposition, along comes a man that says things aren't right...has a bold vision and a chanceto strike while the reich wing is reeling from three decades of horrid decision making. That man is Barack Hussein Obama.
While BHO has not done everything that we would have hoped, the things he has done in less than two and a half years in office is astounding. Compared to the previous administration he's a damned miracle worker. He got health care passed for Americans. The GOP has clamored since the days of Nixon they want health care, when they get it, the GOP complains that it's socialism. President Obama has also repealed DADT, also fought the DOMA and took out the most wanted man in the world...all while hearing things like he's not an American, he's taking our country away, he's a socialist...and I laugh. I watch the reich get as uncomfortable with Obama as I have been for 30 years with Reagan and the Bush Boys.
The discomfort comes from the fact the reich and even some progbaggers that claim they're on the left knows this great man, great president is of all things not one to be messed with. He IS the extension of Wilson, FDR, he is the fulfilling hope of Kennedy, he is the child of the great society that LBJ had passed. So as that proverbial pendulum swings back to the left, my reich wing pals, sit down and enjoy the ride. Am I a cheerleader for Obama, hey if that makes you happy, sure. have I drank the kool aid? Okay. Just rest assured that Obama is going nowhere and when President Weiner or Maddow takes over in '16 enjoy that ride too.
